Product shall be Safety Stride J SERIES stair nosing, BLACK anodised aluminium extrusion, BLACK abrasive insert, P5 rated for internal/external, dry/wet use. Fixing method: chemical and mechanical - all fixings shall be concealed.

  • Designed for surface mount / retro-fit applications on existing stair treads
  • 50mm wide aluminium profile is the minimum allowable dimensions under AS1428.1 and appeals to those seeking a minimal stair nosing look
  • BLACK anodised aluminium profile and BLACK insert provide contrast over light coloured substrates as per AS 1428.1:2021
  • Suitable for use on square edged stairs and pencil edged stairs only
  • Due to the 50mm overall width of the product, screw fixing to masonry (i.e. concrete, tile) treads is not recommended as the drilling location is too close to the leading edge
  • Due to the abrasive finish of the insert, the cleaning method should also be considered. For internal/dry timber stairs, the J Series with internal rated insert is recommended as it is easy to clean
  • Supplied with wear-resistant, internal/external rated slip resistant insert with self-adhesive backing for straight forward installation
  • Concealed fixings - first the extrusion is fixed to the substrate by way of screws and adhesive and then the insert is adhered to the extrusion
  • Applications include fire stairs, office and residential buildings, schools, universities, hospitals, factories and houses
  • UV stabilised materials for a long trouble-free service life
